If you don't know about DVTD (devoted) it is a marketplace with a mission. Every company and brand sold underneath this marketplace is giving back to some sort of cause. And DVTD as a company gives back with their revenue to a new cause each month! Think Amazon, but a million times smaller in size and yet a million times better with which brands they choose to carry.
I am a part-time affiliate with DVTD, which means when you purchase something using my link I get a little bit of profit too. That being said, my main goal in "selling" DVTD products has leaned more towards getting the news out about the amazing brands, and the work they are doing to making this world a better place.
In today's post I thought it would be fun to highlight each of the brands currently in the DVTD marketplace and show you how each of these products can be used in the span of an entire day :)
Good Morning:
Wake up with a refreshing morning routine using MISSIO Hair products in the shower and for styling after. MISSIO supports anti-human trafficking by educating stylists on signs of abuse and employs women in their salons helping them get back on their feet and empowering them. Aprisa Skincare line is dedicating their resources to finding cures for autoimmune diseases as well as supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Kind Lips ChapSticks are dedicated to supporting anti-bullying organizations, and Starfish Project Jewelry provides high quality jewelry with processes that are better for the environment as well as supporting anti-human trafficking, creating jobs for survivors and providing fair wages.
Devotional Time:
Start your prayers with Backgate Prayer Cards. Backgate Prayers supports Stanton Healthcare, an organization that offers life-affirming solutions and resources for women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. Open up a journal for devotional notes, thoughts or prayers with Double Edged Notes. For every journal sold, Double Edged Notes distributes a Bible to a country closed to the Gospel. Comes in a variety of colors and optional page styles. To add to your quiet time put a delightful scented oil in your diffuser from SoiL essential oils, 100% pure oils, Leaping Bunny approved and a Fair Trade company, which means they provide healthy working conditions for their local community and minimize environmental impact in all of their operations. They are also actively involved in the establishment and support of various projects which seek to uplift impoverished communities.
Time for Breakfast:
This Jenessa Wait Mug is one of my favorites, she also provides an assortment of posters with positive sayings and Bible verses to encourage you in any room of your home! Jenessa gives a portion of proceeds to missionaries around the globe to help take the gospel to the ends of the earth! Fill that mug with a delicious brew of Gobena coffee. Through a partnership with Lifesong for Orphans, Gobena is able to give back 100% of their profits to care for orphans and vulnerable children—which means every purchase you make is helping change a life!
Midday Planning:
ThisIsMyEra Planners is perfect for making goal setting and tracking easy with their undated 90-day planners/journals with SMART goal trackers. 265 pages. 100+ inspirational quotes. For every #ThisIsMyEra 90-planner sold, they donate funds to make education accessible to children in Africa through their partnership with World Vision. They also have a Budget Planner available which we have found helpful for tracking and planning out our budget every month
Dinner Time:
Iron Bridge Woodshop pieces are beautiful and great for entertaining or just for preparing meals. They employ currently or formerly homeless men to craft handmade products from locally sourced wood. Proceeds from the sale of their products also support Six Treasures Ministries, a nonprofit that serves the homeless and marginalized. No dinner is complete without a little candle light. Calyan Wax Co. provides an array of different candles large and small and a variety of scents. They donate 5% of their revenue to Traffick911, which gives freedom, justice, and empowerment to survivors of human trafficking.
Nighttime Routine:
And before you go to sleep use Aprisa Skincare's Night Cream and apply some of MISSIO's dry shampoo for a fresh scalp the next morning, allowing you to skip another hair wash day, and waking up smelling like a Summer Vacation :)
How cool would it be if we used products like these in our everyday lives. Imagine how much better the world would be if we knew exactly where are money was going when buying and consuming products. Is the price tag a bit heftier than Amazon? Yes, but look at who and what it is supporting, it makes spending a few extra bucks worthwhile in my opinion.
