Puff Pastry Breakfast Pizza

We LOVE breakfast food in our family. But, I don’t know about you, I can get stuck in a breakfast rut!

How many more variations of a breakfast casserole can I make? What other breakfast dishes can be made ahead of time and frozen or refrigerated for later?? I cannot make another breakfast dirtying up every dish!!!

Well today I have found the answer to all of those problems: Puff Pastry Breakfast Pizza! 🥐 🍕

I found this idea on howsweeteats.com and it is delish and super easy!

Ingredients

•2 thawed puff pastry sheets

•8 slices of bacon

•1 egg + 1 teaspoon water ( egg wash)

•6 oz shredded cheddar cheese (I used sharp cheddar)

•6 large eggs (cracked in a bowl)

•Pepper to taste

•Chives to top

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cook up bacon and chop into bite sized pieces (or chop before cooking)

Lay pastry sheets onto a baking sheet lined with silicone baking mat or parchment paper and fold down the sides to make a crust. Brush egg wash onto the pastry.

Sprinkle cheese, cooked bacon and pour cracked (unscrambled) eggs on top of pastry. Sprinkle pepper on top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Top it with chives or green onion.

Makes 8 slices 😋

And if you are a sauce lover like myself, I whipped up a yummy dipping sauce, or it could be drizzled on top!

1 serving:

-2 tablespoons mayo

-1 clove minced garlic

-1/4 teaspoon Sriracha

-1/4 teaspoon Cayenne

-1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper flashes

-1/4 teaspoon Lemon juice

Adjust to your taste and the amount you’d like to make!
