Same Weekly Wear

I wore the same thing for a whole week. Mostly to prove to myself that accessorizing is the key to putting together any outfit, and maybe a little bit to reduce the clothes in my weekly laundry.
I chose a pair of black stretchy pants. I feel most comfortable in pants with some give and real jeans can be too much on my stomach.
My top was a simple black tee-shirt with a flowy bottom and V neck. I felt this was flattering on my neckline and again made me feel most comfortable in regards to my tummy area with that flowing bottom.
I also felt that the all black would be the perfect canvas to pair any other layers and jewelry I chose throughout the week.
MONDAY

This light and airy shawl was perfect for a Monday. I felt it eased me into the week, while feeling confident and comfortable. I also never wear anything like this with the all black underneath a white layer, but I think it looks really nice and makes this outfit pop. I went with simple jewelry, again trying to ease into the week, rather than go ALL IN at the start.
TUESDAY

I had a few errands to run this day, so I went with a lightweight faux-denim layer and my brown ankle-booties. The jewelry stands out with this more tame look and I felt amazing all day!
WEDNESDAY

Hump Day! Half way through and I chose a color blocked cardigan and my Mustard colored work boots. Paired with the simple necklace and gold earrings from Monday. It's at this point I find it really amazing how much the layering and accessories changes the look and makes the outfit!
THURSDAY

Another cozy sweater cardigan with matching flats. It hard to tell in the pictures, but the longer necklace has bits of that maroon color as well, tying everything together. Such a simple choice but this look is one of my favorites.
FRIDAY

I felt like I needed to wear an actual jacket for this day. I really felt all dolled up with my shiny gold earrings and necklace, it felt like I was ready for anything be it company showing up, a spontaneous date night or grabbing drinks with friends. Paired with a simple pair of flats, makes for a perfect Friday-Fit.
SATURDAY

If you can't be cozy any other day, Saturday feels like it should be a requirement! Bulky socks with my outfit today, and a light weight, Gray cardigan. No jewelry for an extra "lazy" touch. This look pretty much opens up the day's schedule for a potential nap, but it would also be easy to throw on some shoes and run a few errands too.
SUNDAY

I love my new Olive colored cardigan! It's the perfect length, cozy and soft and is a great Fall piece to pair with my neutral look. I think this outfit looks comfortable and dressy enough for a Sunday morning, where I am usually found at church. The necklace and earring are lightweight and my favorite Fall pieces.
I had a lot of fun finding layering pieces and accessories to put together with all of my outfits this week! It was also nice not having a huge load of laundry to wash at the end of the week as well.
I think I would try this again with a different base layer. This week was also a mixture of different sorts of weather, some days were cooler and others were on the warmer side. So having a tee-shirt really helped, when I got too warm I could just remove a layer. But the jewelry still gave the simple base outfit some flair.
Hope you enjoyed this and that it has inspired you to try this way of dressing for a week. Or if you're sick of the mountains of laundry that await you every week and want to simplify, shake things up and see how it goes by trying this out for yourself.
